Chowmain is a software development company specialising in driver development.  Unlike our competitors we don't anything but driver development.  Our staff have been working in the home automation industry for years teaching, supporting, developing and installing home automation systems. We understand how electronics work.  As such we have the expertise to manipulate and improve these products via our premium driver range. Chowmain’s Command to Event driver for ELAN allows ELAN programmers to override existing remote control buttons to fire event maps.

This lets the programmers to be more creative in the solutions they provide their customers to add extra functionality.

For example they can make a one way IR bluray driver dim lights when the play, pause or stop buttons are pressed on the remotes.

Another example is that they can assign a hard button to toggle a light on and off or perhaps create a macro to execute a sequence of commands.

Many Jewish people who strictly observe Shabbat refrain from what turning electricity on or off during this period. They may also refrain from making adjustments to the intensity of electrical appliances.

The Chowmain Hebcal module for URC imports data from Hebcal.com. This module helps by automating detection of Jewish holidays and your standard Shabbat (observed from a few minutes before sunset on Friday evening until the appearance of three stars in the sky on Saturday night). By firing these events it assists with notification of Candle lighting (18 minutes before sundown) and Havdalah (after the appearance of three stars in the sky) along with the automation of electronic devices during this period.
