Battery Indicator

Overview

The Chowmain Battery Indicator driver for Control4 will provide you with a battery level indicator for any device that outputs its battery level in a variable as a percentage.

This indicator is expressed as an experience button and can be viewed in any Control4 navigator. On top of viewing the level in navigator the driver supports low level events along with automated push and email notifications.

How does this driver work?

The nice thing about this driver is that it will work with all products with a battery level percentage variable.

This driver is extremely simple. Just select the device in the driver properties and select the variable for that device. Add the experience button to any page you want in Navigator (we recommend services).

Are there any other considerations?

Certain devices (eg SR-260) report 0% when they are restarting or offline. As such we have included a property to ignore 0% battery levels.

Can i change the icons?

These icons were designed and owned by Chowmain Ltd. We have included multiple icon sets that you can adjust through the driver's properties for both light and dark backgrounds.
