❓ UniFi Access Driver – FAQ
Q: Why does my live feed come in portrait mode?
A: UniFi Access camera devices currently only display in portrait mode for live feed. We have submitted this issue directly with UniFi, and once it is resolved, we will update the driver to support full orientation.
Q: Why do I see a distorted/green screen on my Control4 touchscreen when a call is made?
A: This is a known limitation with UniFi’s current implementation. We are working directly with UniFi to resolve the issue. In the meantime, please see the Documentation tab for the latest workaround.
Q: Do I need an Access Hub to make SIP intercom calls?
A: Only the G3 Reader Pro work without a hub installed. All other UniFi Access devices require a hub to initiate SIP calls to Control4.
Q: Will my G2 Reader Pro work without a Hub?
A: Yes
Q: Which UniFi Access devices are supported?
A: The driver currently supports Reader Flex, G3 Reader, G3 Reader Pro, Reader Lite, Intercom, and the Door Hub / Door Hub Mini / Gate Hub.
Q: Do I need the UniFi Protect driver installed?
A: Yes — the UniFi Protect Driver must be in the project to access the camera feed for SIP integration.
Q: Who do I contact for support or questions?
A: Please Submit a ticket to our support staff.
