Full Description: Direct, native Control4 control of WLED-flashed LED strips — the most common thing people are actually running WLED on — and bulbs. This driver talks straight to WLED's own JSON HTTP API over your local network, with no bridge, no gateway device, no manufacturer cloud service, and no subscription. If your network and the light are up, the driver works, full stop. Works with every LED type WLED itself supports: RGB, RGBW, RGBCCT (full color plus tunable white — the most capable and most common setup for addressable/analog strips), CCT (tunable white only), and plain single-color strips or fixtures. The driver reads the connected device's actual LED type automatically — nothing to configure by hand for which type you have. Features
- Full native Control4 color control — on-screen color wheel and Color Temperature slider both work with real two-way sync; a color changed from WLED's own app, a physical switch, or another controller shows up back in Control4 automatically, not just the other direction
- Built-in workaround for a common hardware limitation: some WLED-compatible RGBCCT boards don't correctly blend their warm/cool white channels from WLED's own Color Temperature API, even when everything is configured exactly per WLED's documentation. This driver computes its own accurate warm-to-cool color for every Color Temperature request (the same technique WLED's own app uses on affected hardware), so Color Temperature works reliably regardless of whether your specific board's native blend does
- WLED on-device presets, from Control4 — a dedicated "WLED Presets" cycling button, plus Programming/Actions-tab commands to activate any preset by name or save the light's current state back to one
- WLED effects — set any of WLED's built-in lighting effects directly from a Control4 Programming-tab command
- Auto-detected device info — connection status, MAC address, firmware version, and LED type are all read directly from the device; nothing to hand-enter beyond its IP address
- Configurable polling, plus near-instant sync — adjustable poll interval for catching externally-made changes, with an experimental listener on WLED's own UDP sync broadcast for faster-than-polling updates on networks where it's reachable
- An ESP32 or ESP8266 board flashed with WLED, joined to your home WiFi network, with a static IP or DHCP reservation
- The light must already be configured and working from WLED's own web interface before adding it here — this driver assumes WLED itself is already correctly driving your physical strip or fixture
- Control4 OS 3.3 or later for full native Color and Color Temperature control from the on-screen color wheel (uses Control4's LightV2 XY chromaticity color model, per Control4's own "Setting Light and Color Temperature" Smart Skills documentation); on/off, dimming, presets, and effects do not require OS 3.3
- Developed and tested against a Gledopto GL-C-211WL controller (ESP32, DC 12–24V, 5-channel PWM) driving a BTF-LIGHTING RGBCCT strip — any WLED-compatible board and strip combination should work, but this is the known-working reference combination
- Support for this driver covers the Control4 integration itself — connectivity, on/off/dimming, color and color temperature control, presets, effects, and programming. It does not cover general WLED setup, board wiring, WiFi provisioning, or firmware flashing for your specific hardware — WLED's own documentation and your board manufacturer's instructions are the right resource for that, and the device should already be working correctly from WLED's own app before this driver is added
