This driver controls any projector or display that implements the PJLink Class 1 standard (the industry-wide control protocol supported by most major projector brands, including Optoma, Epson, Sony, Panasonic, NEC, Sharp, Christie, and many others) over a standard TCP/IP network connection — no serial adapter or proprietary command set needed.

Features:

  • Power On / Power Off, respecting the display’s own warm-up and cooling delay so status always reflects what the hardware is actually doing.
  • Input switching across RGB, HDMI/Digital, Composite Video, and Network sources (PJLink Class 1 input groups).
  • Live status reporting: power state, current input, lamp hours, and error/warning status (fan, lamp, temperature, cover, filter) — all read directly from the display, useful for troubleshooting from Composer without a truck roll.
  • Optional PJLink password/security support, for displays with authentication enabled.
  • Automatic reconnect and continuous keep-alive polling, so the control connection survives the protocol’s 30-second idle timeout and recovers on its own if the network link drops.
  • Configurable command pacing and keep-alive interval for displays that need a gentler polling rate.
  • Raw command passthrough action for advanced PJLink commands not exposed as a dedicated control.

Note: some displays ship with their network interface powered down while in standby. If remote Power On stops working only while fully off, check the display’s own standby/network power setting (we hit exactly this with the Optoma unit) and set it to keep networking active in standby.
