Before you install

Complete these steps before adding the Tedee drivers in Composer Pro. You'll need the bridge's fixed IP address and its API token during driver setup. Send this page to the homeowner or site contact if you won't have the Tedee app account yourself.

You will need: the Tedee mobile app, signed in with the account that owns the Tedee Bridge, plus access to the site's router or DHCP server.

Requirements

A Tedee Bridge, set up in the Tedee app with its locks paired and calibrated.
Bridge API enabled in the Tedee app: Bridge → Settings → API. Note the bridge's IP address and the API token shown there.
A DHCP reservation (fixed IP address) for the Tedee Bridge on your router.
The Tedee Bridge needs internet access from time to time to renew its lock access certificates. Local control keeps working through short outages, but a site that is permanently offline will eventually stop working.
The Control4 controller and the Tedee Bridge on the same network, with nothing blocking the bridge from reaching the controller on the Callback Port.

Step 1 – Give the Tedee Bridge a fixed IP address

The driver finds the bridge by its IP address, so the address must never change.

In the Tedee app, open the bridge and note its current IP address (Bridge → Settings). If the app shows the bridge's MAC address, note that too.
On the site's router or DHCP server, create a DHCP reservation (also called a static lease or fixed IP) that ties the bridge's MAC address to that IP address.
Power-cycle the bridge (unplug for 10 seconds) and confirm in the Tedee app that it comes back on the reserved address.

Don't rely on a plain DHCP address. If the router hands the bridge a different address later, the locks will stop responding until you update Bridge IP Address.

Step 2 – Turn on the Bridge API and copy the token (Tedee mobile app)

Sign in to the Tedee app with the account that owns the bridge.
Open the bridge and go to Settings → API.
Switch Bridge API on.
Leave the token type on Encrypted (recommended). Plain is for testing only.
Copy the API token shown on that screen. Treat it like a password.
Note the port shown there (normally 80).

If the token is ever regenerated or the token type is changed in the Tedee app, enter the new token and type in this driver too, otherwise Connection Status shows Unauthorized.

Step 3 – In Composer Pro

In Composer Pro, add Tedee Bridge to the project (any room, for example the equipment room).
In Properties, enter:
- Bridge IP Address: the reserved address from Step 1.
- Bridge Port: as shown in the app (default 80).
- API Token: the token from Step 2.
- API Token Type: the same type as in the app (Encrypted).
Check that Connection Status shows Online, Webhook Status shows Registered, and Locks Found lists every lock.
